Blocked DAO is an experiment that combines a preexisting NFT collection (BlockedHeads OnChain) with a new Nouns fork project. BlockedHeads OnChain will receive 5% founders allocation in the new Blocked DAO perpetual auction. This will allow holders of BHOC to gain governance of Blocked DAO overtime, while inviting new members via the auction of the Blocked DAO project. This concept should allow for more distributed governance with a low financial barrier of entry.

Blocked DAO will aim to further proliferate the Nouns DAO ethos by supporting artists, projects, protocols, and any other allocation of treasury funds that the community sees fit. Roy and Biv were two brothers from a dimension known as the "Chromatic Realm," a place where all matter was imbued with color and beauty. Their world was a paradise, but it was also a fragile one. The Chromatic Realm was held together by a magical force known as the Rainbow Bridge, which connected all the different planes of existence within their world.

However, the Rainbow Bridge had started to deteriorate, causing the Chromatic Realm to slowly collapse. Roy and Biv knew they had to escape before it was too late. They packed up their things and set out on a journey to find a way out of their collapsing dimension.

As they traveled, they encountered all sorts of strange and dangerous creatures, but they never lost hope. They knew that there had to be a way to save their world and the people they loved.

Finally, after many months of searching, they stumbled upon a portal that led to another dimension. Without hesitation, they stepped through the portal, leaving the Chromatic Realm behind.

As they emerged on the other side, they were greeted by a world unlike any they had ever seen. It was a world filled with endless possibilities, and they knew that this was where they belonged. Together, they started a new life in this new dimension, always remembering the home they had left behind.

The XcopyXcopyXcopy DAO has three main objectives:

To move XcopyTumblr's works from a centralized service to a decentralized blockchain in order to preserve them indefinitely.
To fund scholarly Xcopy work, including curation, exhibitions, essays, encyclopedias, and display technology.

To acquire original Xcopy 1/1s or editions for donation to public museums as a public good.

Between February 2011 and June 2022, Xcopy uploaded images to his Tumblr every month except for April 2014. This body of work is a comprehensive and detailed documentation of the evolution of a truly original and highly influential style.

Although some of these images were minted as 1/1s or editions on various blockchain marketplaces such as Superrare, many of the works were at risk of deplatforming or loss if Tumblr were to fold or be acquired.

As a result, the entire Xcopy Tumblr image archive was scraped, resulting in 1158 GIFs, 116 JPGs, and 302 PNG files produced by Xcopy over the course of more than a decade. The GIF files, which are considered to be the main artistic innovation, were divided into 18755 individual frames and saved as PNG files. The JPG and PNG files, which were mostly still images of comments, were excluded.

Due to the implementation of nouns.builder, it was not possible to upload GIF files, but the process of converting them to individual frames resulted in some stunning images and provided insight into the Xcopy method. The style of the GIFs evolves throughout the archive, with some GIFs consisting of four frames and others consisting of over 20.

These images represent the first blockchain implementation of the historic Xcopy Tumblr archive. The 18755 frames were edited to 1773 of the best frames to fit within Builder DAO file upload limits, and at least two frames from each image were retained. The images are auctioned at a 69 minute interval.

All proceeds from the auctions are used to purchase original Xcopy editions or 1/1s or to fund Xcopy scholarly work. Decisions to buy works and fund scholarly work are made by the DAO through proposals.

All works acquired will eventually be donated to public museums for display as a common good, in accordance with the nouns principle. Only marketplaces that respect artist royalties will be used to purchase works.

This DAO is a tribute to both the originality and dedication of Xcopy and to the vision of 4156 and the original nounders. It is a blockchain-based public good.

When an auction ends, a gas-only transaction is required to start the next auction and mint the current FamilyNoun to the winners wallet. As gas price fluctuates, the cost of settlement also fluctuates.

-Once an auction starts, everyone has 18 minutes to bid.  -Anyone can bid an amount at/above 0.18 eth.  -The Amount bid is returned to bidder if they lose the auction (minus gas spent on bid transaction).

NAMES is the Nouns-ish way to bring Name-based DAOs to the world, while giving them a way to stay connected to one another.

This Proto Name DAO is:
 - A DAO for people who want to be involved early as founders, 
 - contributors, supporters, etc, of the Name DAO project
 - A way for us to raise capital to spend on building the long-term vision
 - A way for us to gather interest while we're at ETHDenver
 - A potential entry into hackathon prizes at ETHDenver

This Proto Name DAO is not:
 - The main Name DAO that we envision this Proto Name DAO building together, to be the meta DAO under which all the name DAOs (Josh DAO, Adam DAO, etc) will live.

The fun, absurdity and accessibility of Nouns makes a rich, creative space for different ages to create with each other. Bringing families together with Family Nouns will benefit improved mental health, relationships, education, and reduced stress. Our goal is for families to have more fun, do more good, and spread more nounishness. And as a result, share the positive impacts with their friends, creating a positive self reinforcing loop.

FamilyNounsDAO is building a community of Nounish families, and creating a family focused mobile and web app to drive engagement. This family DAO experience will make it super easy and fun to welcome families into Nouns to create Nounish things together. The overall vision for Family Nouns DAO is to proliferate Nouns and do good for families across the world at scale.
